To connect to your FTP space through your browser simply insert in the
Address bar of your browser the following
URL:
ftp://FTPusername:FTPpassword@ftp.yourdomain.com Once you are connected, click on the folder with your domain name. You are now located in the root directory of your Web site. File can now be uploaded to this directory from your local machine. Note: Do not upload files before entering the folder with your domain name.
While uploading a large file using the Web Based FTP Utility, your connection
to the server may time out, resulting in a failed upload. This problem generally
occurs if the file size is greater that 1 MB, but can vary depending on the speed
of your Internet connection.
Large files should be uploaded to the server using a local ftp client such as WS_FTP or CuteFTP.
When connecting to your website using Macromedia Dreamweaver, you may notice a
folder named XYIZNWSK appear in your root directory. This directory is created by
the Dreamweaver application for time synchronization purposes. This folder is
necessary for the proper function of Dreamweaver and should be left intact.
