Problems connecting to your database using Enterprise Manager

If you are having problems when connecting to one of the zeWEBHOST MSSQL third party servers using the Microsoft Enterprise Manager, try the tips below:

Try using the IP address of the server instead of the host name.
mssql1.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.128
mssql2.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.130
mssql3.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.132
mssql4.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.134
mssql5.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.136
mssql6.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.138
mssql7.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.140
mssql8.hcpanel.com is 66.245.177.142

If you are on an office network or behind a firewall, port 1433 may be blocked for security reasons. Your ISP may block this port as well, you should verify that with them. We support an alternate MSSQL port which can be a quick workaround solution if you are behind a firewall or if you use an ISP that blocks 1433. Just change your MSSQL port in Microsoft's Client Network Utility to 4433.

If you know you are behind a firewall/router and the previous steps did not work, we recommend that you try connecting from a computer with a live Internet IP Address that is not on a network or behind a firewall/router.

If you continue to experience connection problems after trying these methods, contact Microsoft Support to resolve the issue.
